Land of waves and freedom, it was born in the territories of the palenque de Alonso de Illescas. From two haciendas emerged a village of fishermen and merchants of shrimp larvae, where people from Esmeraldas and Manabí arrived. Over time, surfing attracted tourists and adventurers who never left, turning it into a vibrant multicultural corner where each wave tells a story.
